تضمن البحث تطوير طريقة طيفية جديدة وحساسة لتقدير الدابسون في الوسط المائي، تعتمد الطريقة على تفاعل قاعدة شف لعقار الدابسون مع الكاشف كلوريد الكوبلت المائي ليعطي معقد اصفر فاتح اللون تعتمد شدة امتصاصهُ على تركيز الدابسون في قاعدة شف ويعطي اعلى امتصاص عند الطول الموجي 354 نانومتر، وكانت حدود قانون بين 0.3-3 مايكروغرام. مل-1 من الدابسون، وكانت الأمتصاصية المولارية 1.2812×104 لتر. مول-1. سم-1، ومعدل الأسترجاعية 101.2929%، والأنحراف القياسي النسبي لا يتجاوز 0.2306 % وبحد كشف 0.0481 مايكروغرام . مل-1، وتم تطبيق الطريقة في تقدير الدابسون في مستحضرهُ الدوائي على شكل اقراص.
