Abstract

The research was conducted for the detection of aflatoxin B and toxin fungi associated with wheat and corn grain in Mysan. The samples were collected from markets and stores, with 50 samples of wheat and corn for each. Polymerase chain reaction technology has been used to rapidly detect aflatoxin B1 production of fungal isolates of a specific primer afIR1, afIR2. The results indicated the diagnosis of two types of fungus belonging to the genus Aspergillus, A.flavus, and A.niger, by 4% and 21%, respectively. Corn is the most polluted, with 72% and 28% of the wheat grain. The study showed that all isolates of. A.flavus was the carrier of the gene aflatoxin; for isolates of A.niger, the gene has appeared in three isolates but inconspicuously.
