Synthesis and characterization of pyrazolines and oxazapine derivatives using chalcones as precursor and evaluation of their biological activity
Keywords:
pyrazoline, oxazepine, isoniazidAbstract
The research includes the synthesis of new pyrazolines and oxazepine derivatives by reacting chalcones as raw materials with Isoniazid and 2-aminophenol, respectively, while chalcone compounds were prepared by the reaction of bromoacetophenone with a number of benzaldehyde substitutes. The structural formula of the synthesized compounds has been proven by measuring some physical properties such as melting point and spectroscopic methods such as infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance of proton and carbon. Biological activity of synthesized compounds (three concentrations) was evaluated using Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia and pseudomonas, and comparison with isoniazid and gentamicin sulphate, the results encourage their use as important antibacterial.
