The research included the synthesis of 5-amino-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-yl by reacting indomethacin acid with semicarbazide hydrochloride, using phosphorus oxychloride e (POCl3) as a cyclizing agent, with the help of potassium hydroxide, and then reacting 5-amino-1,3,4- Oxadiazole-2-yl with aldehydes to obtain new and different types of Schiff bases. The biological activity of the prepared compounds against E-coli bacteria was studied. The structures of the newly prepared compounds were characterized using physical methods and measuring H1-NMR and IR spectra.
