The role of oxidants and their antioxidants and their effect on abortions in the city of Samarra

This study aims to know the effect of abortion on some physiological and biochemical variables and to compare them with the control group. The study was conducted for the period from October 1 to February 1, 2023. (90) samples were collected and divided into two groups. The control group consisted of 30 samples, 30 samples for the group of abortionists, and 30 samples for the group of pregnant women. Samples from the gynecology clinic at Samarra General Hospital and some outpatient medical laboratories. Both MDA concentration and GSH concentration were measured, as well as albumin concentration. The results showed a significant increase in MDA concentration and a significant decrease in GSH concentration and albumin concentration compared to the control group at a significant level P ≤ 0.05.
