The research project was performed at Samarra General Hospital including 90 individuals, who were categorized into two groups, with a control group of 30 participants (15 males-15 females) and the gallstone patients group included 60 people (22 males - 38 females) whose ages ranged between (38-68), blood samples were collected from the study samples were collected while fasting to assess Total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol, glucose, iron, ferritin, homocysteine, and Body Mass Index (BMI). In the results all lipid level indicators exhibited a significant elevation (p < 0.05) in gallstone patients relative to the group of controls, whereas the findings indicated a notable reduction in the levels of Homocysteine, HDL, Ferritin, Glucose, and BMI; however, the body mass index did not demonstrate a significance difference.
